Hollow Knight Cosplay Armor Set

By SwoquikSource

Hello! This is my Dark Fantasy Hollow Knight Armor (All photos with the fancy lighting of me wearing the costume were taken by "thevaliantknight" on Instagram they did all the photography which is amazing so please check out their work) (Minor edits were made by me that changed the color of lighting and cropping) The armor was inspired by the works of Keos Masons and some miscellaneous artists on google who had down realistic hollow knight art. I took aspects of everything and made my own interpretation of the character so I hope you enjoy! Most (But not all) of the armor in the photo was scaled for roughly my sizing so you may need to scale up or down the armor to fit you. Especially the helmet as that was scaled for my head with little wiggle room. Along with the helmet the chest plate may need to be scaled as I'm quite a tall guy. Oh yeah and final thing, the helmet has the eye's still in place I cut them out with a pair of the scissor things that came with my printer and put see-through black fabric to cover up the messy cuts. (So if someone more experienced than me wants to remix that to fix the eyes be my guest, but that was my work around. I'll go more in depth in the instructable in October) The majority of the armor pieces were printed at a 20% infill because the walls are so thin. I also used expanding foam inside the horns to make them more sturdy to save on filament. Another filament cutting measure is with the lumifly lantern as it is scaled to fit around an average Christmas bauble so you can print the top and bottom halves and glue them to that. If you plan to print the smaller accessory pieces like the mantis claw and the lumifly lantern I'd recommend using a higher infill like 30-40%. This whole project was my first time giving 3D modelling a proper attempt so sorry if the files aren't perfect. If you end up using any of these pieces for anything I'd love to see photos. And if you repurpose the parts for anything I'd also love to see
