Iron Hill Dwarf Pauldron

I really liked user thorgep's iron hill dwarf, especially the armor, and wanted to use parts of it for a costume for cosplay and Halloween. All I did was pull it off the model, patch it up, and resize it. You'll need to make measurements of yourself to make sure it fits you alright, for myself I simply measured the space between the inside corners across the pauldron to make sure it would be wide enough to comfortably cover my shoulder. I highly recommend using a piece of cardboard cut in the rough dimentions of the pauldron to check your measurements. Technically the model provided is a right shoulder model (from the original bust), so for left shoulder you may wish to mirror it. I did not add any discrete attachment points on the model, I just did some hot gluing and taping for my costume. Same for attaching the "extra bit". It's not necessary but I think it adds character. I simply hot glued wires at two points along the inside of the pauldron and then to two corresponding points on the extra bit. Printing advice: Supports are definitely needed, I had a lot of luck with the "tree" support feature in cura. This is true of most prints but I would say at least 3 layer walls. As this is a decorative piece and not strictly functional, there aren't any required quality settings other than what you find acceptable aesthetically. I used .2mm layer height. I used an exceptionally low 8% gyroid infill because I was in a rush and wanted general structural strength, but I wouldn't go lower. Extra note: matte black makes an excellent backing color to reflective or chrome paints and enhances their metallic look.
