Strong Telescopic Baton / Sword (print in place)

By jshplayerSource

*** 4/2/21 Fixed main body, reducing friction on largest pole. *** This is my take on a scratch designed telescopic baton / expanding & collapsing sword, I've found some of the others only expand partially, are brittle or end up quite short and I wanted to fix that by creating something new. I'm testing it currently, it includes a removable threaded cap and each pole is included separately as well as a set of all 6 for print in place options making replacing broken bits from sword fights easy. The cap has a hex hole in it to avoid the vacuum created during the poles expanding meaning it'll always lock up like it should. A standard 10mm allen / wrench will tighten it up but it can also be finger tightened easy. Print the body upside down and everything else upright for best results. If you're using S3D to slice, make sure the "minimum travel to retract" is off or very low otherwise the poles will bind. Do a small test print if needed by just stopping the print a few minutes in. Let me know what you think and I'll be making more designs if requested.
