City of Blanos - Middle Eastern Faced Brick Buildings

By Malkom1366Source

The city of Blanos is a Persian-inspired city on the coast of a great desert in a 5th edition D&D game. These pieces make the understructure of middle-eastern brick buildings. They are designed to be printed and assembled in the shape you desire, and then skinned with a cardstock layer which can be cut away to reveal brick in the desired locations. Attached is one example of how this style could look when completed. The doors and window shutters snap in place and should rotate within the frames, allowing you to much more easily make custom-shaped buildings with working doors and windows. The left and right sides of each join are designed to be a perfect mate in any of the three orientations for a straight line or a squared corner. With a good printer, you should get nice, snug joints that need very little gluing to hold them together, although adding a building base would be a good idea out of cardboard or MDF. This style is inspired by the buildings of 4Ground miniatures out of the UK and their incredibly detailed laser-cut building models.
