Milwaukee M18 SAL Light Clamping Ring Assembly Upper 016060002019

This is a replacement clamping ring assembly (upper) for a Milwaukee M18 SAL upright LED light. Part No: 016060002019 The factory clip was brittle and gave way after regular use. It also had a design flaw where the thin wall for the nylock nut recess would break when trying to unscrew the fasteners. After printing and trialling a single form model I have redesigned this clamp in two halves which are screwed together using 2 x M3x30mm screws. I have threaded the lower body's two holes with an M3 thread tap to securely mate the halves. These could be drilled through and a longer screw with a nut on the bottom if preferred. Also of note, my design eliminated the flawed recess for the nylock nut. Therefore longer screws (1 x M3x20mm lower) & (1 x M3x30mm upper) are required with matching nylock nuts for the fasteners. I printed both the upper and lower in ABS at 0.15mm layer height & 80% infill. For maximum strength & presentation finishes to remain ideal I printed them with the cylinder vertical and added support for only the upper half which has a small 90 degree overhung lip at the top of the bore. The support isn't really required and could be left out. Hope this helps Cheers
