Poor Cycling Mechanics TL-BH62 - IMPROVED!

By posixpSource

[!["Buy Me A Coffee"](https://buymeacoffee.com/assets/img/custom_images/yellow_img.png)](https://www.buymeacoffee.com/larsgs) **UPDATE: Buyer beware - I've had mixed results. The clamping mechansim isn't brilliant and your cable may slip continuously, needing readjusting to the point of cracking/breakage. But if in a dire situation and in quick need, this has your back. ** Version "A" - minor modifications which should improve performance: Shimano lines were slipping, cutter slot too narrow, <100% infill was breaking the walls. Inspired by https://www.printables.com/de/model/238451-shimano-brake-hose-tool A hydraulic brake line cutting guide and pin-driver / press-block. Two versions: Print in-place and post-print nut insertion ("*post-print*" file and red pictures). Alternative to the (expensive) Shimano TL-BH62 tool. FEATURES - Cutter guide front and back (1) - Guide to shorten "olived" brake lines: Insert brake line, line up olive with edge (2), cut. - Minimalist design REQUIREMENTS - 2x M5 bolt - 3x M5 nut - 1x M3 washer - Loctite BUILD - drop-in of 2x M5 nuts during print OR insert after print (use "*post-print*" file) - Loctite 3rd nut onto the driver bolt as a pin guide (4) - leaving ~1-2mm thread exposed - cautiously break the clamp with a screw driver - insert M3 washer into the clamp from the bottom through window into slot (acting as a push plate for the clamping bolt) (3) Please note, the real-world picture depicts a previous/previous version. Most recent: red.
